This surprising list for fresh produce can help make the decision of what to consume.
Every year the Environmental Working Group (EWG), a non-profit organization, releases a list that highlights the fruits and veggies most contaminated with residue from pesticides. The results are determined from research conduced by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Food and Drug Administration.
The goal of the list is to assist consumers in making good choices when purchasing produce to bring home. The EWG analyzes an impressive 45,000 produce samples so literally every common fruit and vegetable can be found on these lists.
